Gallery - Meet the Horses

The horses and I moved from Jbg to Camperdown September 2025. They have integrated into a quite large herd of geldings, in a magnificent 30 acre paddock, living out as nature intended and have adapted really well.

In terms of the experiences we offer, the older boys are very well known in Johannesburg for their incredible ways of assisting people of all ages on all levels – emotional, spiritual, physical and mental. The older boys are very seasoned and could be called expert in the work that we do. They all participate in individual, group and teambuilding whether it be EAP or Horseskills.

They truly are magnificent in the assistance they offer and are highly thought of by those who have experienced sessions with them. They bring insight, authenticity and a grounding connection to whatever modality they participate in.

There are many wonderful words that can be used to describe their wisdom and connection to humans. Here's a little bit about a few of the horses...

Meet Jemba

Jemba is the elder of our herd and took the longest to settle.

Due to his gorgeous looks and flowing mane he has had many names in the therapy context including Fabio, Golden Boy, Beautiful Boy, Caramel to name a few.  He is owned by one of my good friends and came to live with us in October 2005, since then has become one of the best EAP horses I have worked with.

He is semi-retired, semi being the optimal word as has the liberty to, and does, include himself in sessions where needed.

Meet Shiloh

Shiloh is incredibly empathetic and careful with people who have little or no horse experience, kind, patient and steadfast.

He is quite the leader in the herd and does not give in easily which makes his human connection quite an amazing and therapeutic contradiction. He isn’t a pushover in the EAP arena however and will standfast if communication isn’t clear.

Where children and teens are concerned he is quite the participant. He is used for on horse work as well as the other modalities.

Meet Silver

Silver has become very much involved in what we do & loves it.

He came into the ‘work’ side of things as a livery (stabled on behalf of his person), and then became part of the team as he picked up on what we do very quickly. Curious, willing and picks up on the little things. He really works incredibly well with all ages and is wonderful to observe when working.

He is one of the “on horse “ participants, having been a dressage horse for part of his life, he has a lot to offer.

Experience the grounding power of horses, nature & authentic connection.
